On Tuesday, August 31 I had the pleasure of shooting Dragtastic 2010 with some of the industry's best drag comedians. We rocked the Bowery Ballroom with our wit, fashion and creativity. The energy from the crowd was welcoming and uplifting to say the least. It was a long and exhausting day but the fruits of my labor will surely pay off. Special shoutout to All Out Films and Andrea Myerson for bringing me onboard. The show airs in Jan and I can't think of a better way to start the New Year off. I am blessed to have had this opportunity and I look forward to whatever comes my way from it. I will close out this message for now and wish u all a happy and festive holiday weekend.

August 30, 2010
This past week I had the pleasure of visiting Mexico City again. It has become my quick getaway place and on this occasion not only did I need to get away, I also had some work to do. I used my time to buckle down and get my material together for the Dragtastic comedy event that is being taped for LOGO on Tuesday 8/31.The show won't air until Jan 2011 but the audience that will be in the house that evening will get a special treat from four very talented and funny dragqueens, myself included. Ticket sales have gone extremely well and I look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces in the audience. This will surely help me to be comfortable and funny as hell. I found myself going through a wave of emotions as I prepared my material. Self-doubt and fear weaved in and out between joy and pride. I even had to reach out at one point to friends on Facebook to give me the push I need to do my best. Some of you may be saying "But girl u do this all the time" and it's somewhat true but not fully. As a hostess, I have the safety net of stopping my set and bringing on the next act. For this show I am doing 25 minutes of straight standup and the jokes go faster than the time if you are not prepared. I am happy to say that I am prepared now and ready to go. Today I will tape the male interview for the show and then there is a cast and crew dinner for us. I think thats a great idea because some of us don't really know each other and it will give us a chance to bond and have a good time before we tear each other up on stage (for fun). I'm gonna sign off now and for all of you who believe in the power of prayer, send me some positive energy so that I can have two days of productivity that will eventually boost my career tenfold once it airs. Take care and be well.
