Every kind word and act is joyfully given and gratefully received.
I may often be the one who helps others. What happens when I have a simple need, such as reaching an item on a high shelf, or when I encounter a health challenge that requires the support of a team?
Fortunately, I am not meant to “go it alone.” People are healthiest and happiest when helping one another. So I relax and let go of any desire to prove my independence or to appear to be the strong one.
In prayer with God and in touch with my family, friends, and community, I am open to words and acts of kindness. God is the source of all good, yet the answer to my prayer may come through the caring hands and hearts of those around me. As I allow others to care for and about me, I witness their joy in being able to be there for me.
"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete."-John 16:24
