The Lord Is With You

"Be bold, be strong, for the Lord is with you" (Joshua 1:9).

Today's Word

No matter what today has in store, as a believer, you can approach the day with boldness and confidence. Why? Because the Lord is with you, and in Him is everything you need in this life. That means that if you need provision for something today, provision is with you. If you need wisdom today, wisdom is with you. If you need strength, joy, or peace today, it's with you. You can be confident today knowing that all of your needs are supplied spiritually, physically, and emotionally because the Lord is with you. And best of all, He's promised never to leave you. Don't let lies from the enemy or pressure from the world keep you from taking hold of everything the Lord has for you. Open your heart by faith and receive whatever you need today. Step out in boldness and strength because the Lord is with you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me today. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for being closer to me than the air I breathe. I receive Your promises today in faith and confidence. I cast all of my cares on You and set my heart on You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

JUST CHECKING IN WITH U

HELLO GUYS AND DOLLS. ALL IS WELL HERE IN THE WORLD OF SUNBEAM. MY SCHOOLWORK IS KEEPING ME ON LOCKDOWN BUT I DONT MIND. I AM STARTING TO MEET AND MINGLE WITH MY CLASSMATES IN AN EFFORT TO GET TO KNOW THEM BETTER. ESPECIALLY THAT YOUNG, CUTE DOMINICAN KID THAT SITS IN THE CORNER FOR MY SPEECH CLASS. I HAVE ALSO BEEN DOING VERY WELL WITH MY EATING REGIMENT AS WELL AS MY GYM ROUTINE. I AM PREPARING THIS BODY FOR MY BIRTHDAY TRIP IN JANUARY. I MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY THAT I WANTED TO GO TO COSTA RICA BUT HAVE CHANGED MY MIND AND DECIDED ON THAILAND SINCE THAT WAS HIGHER ON MY LIST OF PLACES TO GO. THE ARRANGEMENTS ARE ALL SET AND WILL BE GONE FROM 1/2-14(08). THERE WILL BE NO BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR ME THIS YEAR ONCE AGAIN JUST SO THAT WHEN I TURN 40 I CAN HAVE AN EVEN MORE EXTRAVAGANT EVENT. THAT'S ABOUT IT FOR ME NOW. I AM HEADING OUT TO THE CAGE IN HOBOKEN FOR MY WEEKLY PARTY WHICH MAY END SOON IF THE NUMBERS DON'T PICK UP. TAKE CARE AND BE WELL.

Today's Scripture

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a
hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Today's Word

God created every one of us to be successful. Before the foundation of
the world, He laid out an exact plan for our life. And in this plan,
He has marked moments that are going to come across our paths. These
moments are not ordinary. They are destiny-altering moments. They are
designed to thrust you years ahead. It says in Ecclesiastes that
"time and chance come together for every person." That
means you'll have opportunities to meet the right
people,
opportunities to advance in your career, opportunities to fulfill your
dreams. God has already pre-arranged times of increase and blessing.
You may not be seeing a lot of good breaks right now, but let me
encourage you; there are seasons of favor and seasons of increase
marked for your future. There are God-ordained moments planned out for
you. Don't miss these moments! Don't stop believing, and
don't get distracted by what's going on in the world
around you. Focus on removing the clutter from your life so that you
can hear the still, small voice. Approach today with an attitude of
faith and expectancy. As you do, you'll embrace the God-ordained
moments that are ordered for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father God, thank You for ordering my steps. Thank You for making a
way when there seems to be no way. I choose to step out today with
faith and expectancy so that You can move in my life. I trust You with
my destiny and thank You for fulfilling every desire of my heart
today. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Let Go, Let God

I live life inspired, whole, and free.
What a comfort it is to know that I can let go and let God lead me in all matters and in all that matters.
What I am releasing is the mistaken belief that I need to direct and control all the various aspects of my life. What I am accepting is the greater good that is emerging and unfolding. With God leading the way, I am free of all fear and doubt. My trust in God strengthens me with the resolve to live my life fully.
What is in store for me this day and in the days ahead? I may not have all the details just yet, but there is no doubt that the light of God shines brightly in and through me. I am ready and eager to step forward into a life of inspired living.
"For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you."-Jeremiah 29:11-12

IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WE LOST

TODAY IS THE SIX YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9/11 ATTACKS IN NYC. I TAKE THIS TIME TO REFLECT AND REMEMBER ALL THOSE WE LOST ON THAT HORRIFIC DAY. ALTHOUGH I DON'T THINK I KNEW ANYONE PERSONALLY THAT PERISHED , I STILL FEEL A SENSE OF LOST. NOT ONLY WERE LIVES TAKEN AWAY SO WAS A HOST OF OTHER THINGS WE TOOK FOR GRANTED LIKE PRIVACY, SAFETY AND TRUST. THE NITE B4 THE SEPT 11 ATTACKS I WORKED AT KRASH IN QUEENS. I CAME HOME ABOUT 4:30AM AND WENT RIGHT TO BED. MY NEIGHBOR CALLED ME AROUND THE TIME THE FIRST BUILDING COLLAPSED. I JUMPED UP AND WENT TO MY WINDOW(I HAVE A VIEW OF NY) AND TO MY DISMAY WITNESSED THE THICK, CLOUDY SMOKE AND HEARD THE SCREECHING SIRENS RACING THRU THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I SNAPPED A PICTURE FROM MY WINDOW JUST IN TIME B4 THE COLLAPSE OF THE SECOND BUILDING. I STILL HAVE THE PICTURE TO THIS DAY. SO LET'S TAKE THE TIME OUT TO REFLECT AND REALIZE HOW PRECIOUS OUR LIFE HERE IS ON EARTH. WE NEVER KNOW WHEN OUR DAY WILL COME.

Receive

In God, I live and move and have my being.
As I think about how the sun freely shares its warming rays and the air supplies life-sustaining oxygen, I am reminded that God is continually and freely blessing me. God created me and gives to me in ways that build me up and enrich my life. It’s in remaining receptive to Spirit that I receive.
And what I receive into my life as a blessing from God does not grow stagnant because of lack of use. Love received grows in my consciousness and reaches out to others in tender and meaningful ways. Divine wisdom refines my thoughts and actions so that I am not thinking about what is "going wrong" in my life; I am giving thanks for what is right.
As I receive the goodness of God, I invite even more blessings into my life.
"For 'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we too are his offspring.'"-Acts 17:28

SO FAR , SO GOOD, EXCEPT...

SCHOOL IS GOING AMAZINGLY WELL. THE ASSIGNMENTS ARE POURING IN AND I AM KNOCKING THEM OUT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE SO THEY DON'T BUILD UP. I FEEL SO STUPID FOR NOT GOING BACK A LOT SOONER.I HAVE MET ALL MY PROFESSORS EXCEPT FOR ONE WHICH I WILL SEE THIS MONDAY. I AM TAKING 5 COURSES THIS SEMESTER AND WILL PROBABLY DO THE SAME FOR NEXT. I WANT TO GET THIS DONE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. WITH ALL THIS BEING SAID, U WOULD THINK I WAS THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN LIFE RIGHT? WELL HERE COMES THE CONFUSION. MY AGENT CALLED AND GOT ME AN AUDITION FOR A RECURRING ROLE ON ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I AM REALLY INTO THE SCHOOL THING NOW AND IF I GOT THE PART SERIOUS DECISION MAKING WOULD BE IN ORDER. I LOVE ACTING AND THIS WOULD BE A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY AND RESUME BUILDER BUT I DID WANT TO COMMIT MYSELF TO SCHOOL AND ONLY SCHOOL FOR THE TIME BEING. I WILL WAIT AND SEE IF THEY ASK ME FOR A CALLBACK AND TAKE IT FROM THERE. I JUST DONT WANT TO LEAVE SCHOOL SO QUICKLY ESPECIALLY SINCE IT JUST STARTED. I WILL KEEP U POSTED AS THIS STORY UNFOLDS. IN OTHER NEWS, I HAVE CHANGED MY BIRTHDAY TRIP FROM COSTA RICA TO THAILAND AND I WILL BE MAKING MY RESERVATIONS AS EARLY AS NEXT WEEK(ALSO DEPENDING ON THIS SOAP OPERA GIG). KEEP ME IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND I WILL DO THE SAME. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Pass It On

I accept my good and then pass on a blessing to others.
I have been blessed with people who have been my positive role models and mentors.
Through the contributions of these thoughtful people, I have learned about loving and caring for others, the importance of sharing the resources available to me with those in need, the joy of giving a kind gesture to someone who needs a caring touch.
Those who have treated me with respect and dignity have taught me the importance of embracing all people who inhabit our world. There are those I do bless as I pass on the love, respect, and kindness I have received. The actions I take today have the potential to change a life for the better. My personal, sacred mission is to pass on to others the peace, hope, love, and joy within me.
"The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds."-Psalm 145:13

Enjoy the Day

My spirit is uplifted in times of rest and rejuvenation.
We each have unique abilities and ways of expressing them in our homes, schools, or workplaces. No matter what our roles or vocations may be, we are enriching the world through our dedication to giving our best.
It is also important that we give back to ourselves by spending some time in the day nourishing our souls. There are endless ways we can uplift our spirits and revitalize our minds and bodies. We may choose to read a good book, listen to soothing music, or spend time with family and friends.
Whatever we decide to do, let's recognize our good efforts and savor each experience. Let's treat ourselves to special times of rest, rejuvenation, and recreation.
"I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil."—Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
