WELL PLAYTIME HAS COME TO AN END AND IT'S TIME TO START SPRING SEMESTER 08. I AM TAKING 5 CLASSES AND 3 OF THEM WILL BE QUITE A CHALLENGE. TONITE WAS THE FIRST DAY OF MY ALGEBRA CLASS(ONE OF THE CHALLENGING ONES) AND MY TEACHER NEVER SHOWED UP. I AM IN BASIC ALGEBRA AND WILL HAVE TO EXIT THIS CLASS TO PROCEED TO MY REQUIRED MATH COURSE (COLLEGE ALGEBRA) FOR MY MAJOR (NURSING). BASIC CLASSES CAN BE KINDA GHETTO AND BY THE TIME THE PROFESSOR HAD NOT POPPED HIS OR HER HEAD IN THE DOOR , THE KIDS WERE READY TO START A SIGN-IN SHEET AND DASH! I FOLLOWED RIGHT ALONG WITH THEM SOMEWHAT ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS 28 MINUTES INTO CLASSTIME. WE ALL AGREED TO LEAVE AND PLACED THE ATTENDANCE SHEET WITH THE SECURITY GUARD. OH WELL, I WILL TRY AGAIN NEXT WEEK FOR THAT CLASS BUT IN THE MEANTIME I DO HOPE AND PRAY THAT ALL MY OTHER TEACHERS SHOW UP THIS WEEK SO I CAN GET THE SHIT GOING AND MOVE ON.

God-centered, I focus on one thing at a time, one day at a time.
Some times I may have so many choices to choose from in response to a person or situation that I find it difficult to decide on just one. Other times I may seem to be in a position of responding with only a yes or no, or by acting now or never.
The reality is that I can keep it simple. There may be more than one good choice, something better than a yes or no, a now or never. Perhaps maybe is a better response because it gives me time to think and pray about the situation. Not rushing to judgment or action about some circumstance or person, I step back to see the big picture and the many possibilities of good that are available.
I understand that by keeping my thoughts and actions spiritually centered, I can focus with confidence on one thing at a time, one day at a time.
"In the Lord you are light. Live as children of light."-Ephesians 5:8

IT'S BEEN A MINUTE SINCE I HAVE STOPPED BY TO SAY HELLO TO YOU ALL. PLEASE EXCUSE ME. I AM BACK IN TOWN FROM MY BIRTHDAY EXCURSION TO THAILAND AND MUST SAY I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE THEIR PASSPORT AND CONSIDER VISITING ANOTHER COUNTRY SOMETIME DURING THEIR LIFE. THE VAST CULTURAL DIFFERENCES CAN BE SHOCKING AND DEPRESSING AS WELL AS UPLIFTING DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU GO. I LOVE TO TRAVEL AND EXPERIENCE NEW SITUATIONS. I WAS DELIGHTED TO SPEND ANOTHER YEAR AWAY FOR MY BIRTHDAY THUS SAVING A BIG BIRTHDAY BASH WHEN I TURN 40(NEXT YEAR). MY TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT ESCUELITA IS QUICKLY APPROACHING(2/17/08) AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY I WON'T MAKE IT TO NUMBER 11. THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO MOVE ON AND EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS IN THIS CRAZY CAREER THAT I HAVE STUMBLED UPON YET LOVE SO MUCH . I WILL ALSO BE CAREFUL IN CHOOSING OUTSIDE BOOKINGS AS WELL AND REFUSING TO DEAL OR PUT UP WITH PROMOTERS WHO DON'T RESPECT ME AS AN ENTERTAINER OR HUMAN BEING. WITH THAT BEING SAID, I WILL BE IN TOWN THIS WEEKEND FOR THE T-DANCE AND I DO HOPE TO SEE U THERE. BE WELL AND TAKE CARE.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Although I may not always have people close by to encourage me throughout a difficult time, I do have the spirit of the living Christ within me that does. I know that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." As I trust in this powerful promise, I find the strength and courage to do what may otherwise seem impossible.
Encouraging others strengthens me. When friends or loved ones are discouraged, a kind word, a smile, or even a gentle touch can lift their spirits and let them know that they are not alone. As we pray together, the power of united prayer lifts us above any perceived limitation and reminds us that the presence of Christ within makes all things possible.
Christ is our strength in all things, and knowing this we do our best.
"Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing."—1 Thessalonians 5:11

This is the year that my dreams come true!
These words from a beloved poem invite me to eagerly welcome the new year: "Wonderful, wonderful, fortunate you, This is the year that your dreams come true!"
This is the year that my dreams do come true as I am blessed with life-celebrating opportunities. Some at first may appear to be happenstance. Yet I know that they have come to me by divine appointment.
This is the year that expectations flow from my vision of good. I am an active participant in the joy-filled life of me!
This is the year that I move forward with zeal and enthusiasm, giving and receiving, committing to purposeful, rewarding goals.
This is the year that brings happiness, a year that I will live to bless. Wonderful, wonderful, fortunate me, for this is the year that my dreams come true!
"Is anything too wonderful for the Lord?"-Genesis 18:14
