LAST WEEKEND I TOOK A TRIP TO SAN ANTONIO FOR MY FIRST TIME AND HAD IT ALL PLANNED OUT;THE ALAMO, RIVERWALK AND THE GAY SCENE. THE WEATHER WAS COLD, DAMP, MUGGY AND I STARTED TO FEEL A COLD COMING ON. NEEDLESS TO SAY I SPENT THE REST OF THE TRIP IN BED AND WHEN I RETURNED HOME DID MY SUNDAY GIG AND PROMPTLY HEADED TO THE ER ON MONDAY. I AM HERE WITH THE FLU , TAKING IT EASY AND TRYING NOT TO FALL BEHIND IN SCHOOL WORK. SORRY FOR MY DELAYED RESPONSES TOO. I HAVE SOOO MANY WRITING ASSIGNMENTS WITH MY CLASSES THIS SEMESTER THAT I DON'T ALWAYS HAVE THE MOTIVATION TO WRITE HERE AND I DO APOLOGIZE ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU ALL ARE ALWAYS HERE FOR ME AND I DONT WANT TO SCARE YOU WITH MY DISAPPEARING ACTS. PLEASE UNDERSTAND AND I WILL MAKE A MORE CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO REPORT IN AND KEEP U UPDATED. TAKE CARE AND BE WELL.
My dreams come true through the guidance and resources of Spirit.
It's finished--a success! Perhaps my dream was to complete an important project, to create a beautiful work of art, or to host an outstanding event. Now that it's done, I may ask myself, What's next?
Before I move on to something else, however, I stop and take a cue from Scripture. Following six days of creation, the seventh day represents a day of fulfillment and sacred completion, a time of rest and reflection to honor the work that's been done.
I honor my accomplishments and the successful achievements of others by slowing down and taking time to appreciate and enjoy work in its fulfillment. I take it all in and acknowledge the success, thanking God for the guidance and resources that help my dreams come true.
"So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation."--Genesis 2:3
ACTUALLY IT WASN'T FUNNY SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE ONE. I SURVIVED THOUGH. NOW ITS ON TO ESCUELITA FOR WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE MY 11YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW BUT IT'S NOT QUITE ADVERTISED THAT WAY. AM I BITTER ? NO. I HAVE OTHER THINGS WAY MORE IMPORTANT ON MY MIND AND MUST STAY FOCUSED ON MY NEW DREAMS AND GOALS FOR DORIAN AND HARMONICA. IN OTHER NEWS, MY FEET HAVE BEEN CAUSING ME SOME INTENSE PAIN IN AND OUT OF PUMPS. I WILL BE NEEDING MINOR SURGERY REALLY SOON TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. IT MAY CAUSE ME TO COMPLETELY CHANGE THE WAY I PRESENT MYSELF ONSTAGE. I REFUSE TO HAVE SURGERY AND THEN GO BACK TO MESSING UP MY FEET AGAIN. A GIRL MAY BE PUMPLESS ONSTAGE BY THE END OF THE YEAR. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE U A HEADS UP. TAKE CARE AND BE WELL.

Stir Up Your Dreams
Today's Scripture
"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…" (2 Timothy 1:6, NKJ).
Today's Word
Do you need some freshness in your life today? It’s probably time to stir up what God has placed on the inside of you. It’s time to stir up those gifts, stir up those dreams, stir up those talents inside. Start stretching yourself. You are meant to dream and to pursue the desires God has placed in your heart.
The Scripture tells us that without vision, people perish. If you don’t have a dream, you’re not really living the way God intends. You’re merely existing. Maybe at one time you had a dream, but you went through some disappointments or setbacks. Things didn’t turn out the way you planned. But here’s a key: when one dream dies, dream another dream.
Just because it didn’t work out the way you had it planned doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have another plan. You cannot allow one disappointment or even a series of disappointments to convince you that your dream is over. It’s time to dig your heals in and hold on to the promises in your heart. As you stir up those God-given dreams and desires, He’ll pour out His favor and blessings and fulfill every desire in your heart!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I come humbly to You. I give You my past, my disappointments, my brokenness. Fill me with Your hope and expectation and give me the dreams and desires that You have in store for my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
