Newark Pride and my videoI woke up early Sunday morning to prepare myself for my first gig since my foot surgery. I was hosting the second half of Newark Pride. There was to be a stage show in Washington Park with various forms of entertainment. On my way there, I received a text informing me to "come dressed, there is no place to change". U know I was not having that foolishness. Booked entertainment with no place to change? How shady! The problem was rectified when I got there and the festivities began. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to come back to the city I was born in and perform for my people. The event was well attended and went smoothly. Im glad I took part in it.It was also the Puerto Rican Pride in NYC that day and I had told my boss I would not be working that day. Since it was gonna be my first day trying something on my feet, I didnt want to overdo it. I did manage to start shooting some video footage for my HX promo which should air during the awards event 6/22/09. I will be shooting more footage today as well. We only get 60 seconds to sell ourselves and they want it funny so Im trying to be creative and within the time restraints. Wish me luck and keep voting for me at hx.com/vote!
